1 Thes 3:12 - Love is a gift from God vs Heb 10:24 - We must stir up the people to love
1 Tim 1:14 - Faith is a gift from God vs Phil 1:25 - We must advance their faith
Eph 1:17 - Wisdom is a gift from God vs 1 Cor 2:7 - We must impart wisdom
Rom 15:13 - Joy is a gift from God vs 2 Cor 1:24 We must work for their joy
We are called to labour for that which is God's alone to give. The essence of our ministry, any ministry, is that success is not within our grasp.
Luke 11:13 tells us that God is the God of "how much more!" How much more will you deny Him precious time in prayer? God desires to answer your prayers, beloved. Isn't it fascinating that our God, the awesome God who reigns, ordains to complete His perfect will by being asked by us to do so?
How many of you are troubled in life? School turmoils bringing you down, family problems wracking your emotions. Feeling far away from God?
A cry for help from the heart of His child is sweet praise in the ears of God. Nothing exalts Him more than the collapse of self-reliance which issues in passionate prayer for help. Ps 50:15 tells us that.
We all know John 15:5 - "Apart from Me(Christ) you can do nothing."
Let us, as a ministry, wake up to how much "nothing" we spend doing. All the talking, all the empty studying, it all amounts to nothing. The voice of self-reliance must quieten in order for us to hear the still small voice of God.
If you have trouble and are in need of prayer, let us know! We exist as a community for good reason. I am more than happy to avail myself to you, whether it is to pray with/for you, or even to help you in tangible ways. I am only a call away, as are the leaders of this ministry.
Beloved, don't suffer alone, don't struggle alone, don't cry alone any longer.
Let us pray.
amen.
